This evening before our weekly drill, crews conducted a block tour of the 800 blk. of 10th ave. This was the block that had a working fire a few weeks ago and as per our costumer service policy we conducted the tour. Crews checked on smoke detector use, batteries and replacement, also free smoke detectors where given out and installed as well to homes that were in need. Station 8 has been conducting these tours on the blocks and areas affected by fire for 10 years now and the program has been a huge success
