LODD of Philadelphia Fire LT Matt LeTourneau

The Officers and Members of the Prospect Park Fire Company send their prayers to the Philadelphia Fire Department and the family of LT Matt LeTourneau. LT LeTourneau was an 11 year member of the Philadelphia Fire Department, currently serving on Engine 45. On January 6th Philadelphia Fire Department responded to a two alarm fire in the 2200 block of North Colorado Street. During the fire fight a structural collapse occured pinning LT LeTourneau under heavy debris. It took rescue crews approximately 30 minutes to extricate LT LeTourneau and transport him to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries sustained. Besides being a Philadelphia Fire Fighter Mattt LeTourneau was also a Life Member of the Springfield Fire Company (44) as well as a well respected Instructor at the Delco Training Center. Numerous members of the Prospect Park Fire company as well as many Delaware County Fire Fighters had the opportunities to Learn from Matt. Funerals will be held on Friday January 13th with a public viewing on Thursday evening as well.
